Please note - if you're waiting to find out about the outcome of your application for a primary or secondary school place, you'll need to wait for your letter to arrive or log into the online school admissions system. The team cannot give out information by phone or email, for data protection reasons.

Overseas nationals entering the UK who want to apply for a place at a state-funded school must make sure they have 'right of abode', or that the conditions of their immigration status allow them to access a state-funded school. Families arriving in Middlesbrough from overseas who have school-aged children should contact the Ethnic Minority Achievement Team to apply for school places.

The Ethnic Minority Achievement Team can help you with filling in school admission forms. The team provides support for new arrivals to Middlesbrough, Traveller, fair and circus pupils, and people who speak English as an additional language.
