Garden waste payment plans

Payment plans are available for some residents to pay for their garden waste subscription.

To be eligible, you must be getting Council Tax Reduction.

How will I pay?

You'll pay the £40 subscription cost in £10 instalments over 4 months.

You'll pay £10 when you subscribe, and then £10 every month for the next 3 months.

We'll send you an email every month to remind you that your payment is due.

You can pay your instalments using MyMiddlesbrough.

Is there a deadline to sign up?

If you want a payment plan, you must sign up by 31 July 2025. If you sign up after that date, you'll have to pay the full amount straight away.

If you subscribe part way through the year, you'll only get the amount of collections left in the year, but you'll still pay the full amount.

How do I sign up?

You can sign up for a payment plan using MyMiddlesbrough.

What if I do not pay?

If you miss any of your payments, we'll stop collecting your garden waste. We'll start again once you've made the payment.

What if I need more than one bin?

You can only get a payment plan for your first bin.

If you need to have extra bins emptied, you'll have to pay for them when you subscribe.

For example, if you need to have 3 bins emptied, the total cost of your subscription will be £80.

Your first payment will be £50. This is £10 for the first instalment of your payment plan, and £20 for each extra bin. You'll pay this when you subscribe.

You'll then pay £10 every month for the next 3 months.
