1. We will keep information no longer than we reasonably believe is necessary
We keep your data only for as long is required. Data is required for the length of time to process your request and also as a record for yourself and Middlesbrough Council should you wish to follow up on your initial request. The length of retention of data will differ depending on which service you have accessed.
2. We will use information only for the purpose for which you sent it
When accessing services or contacting us via this website we will only use the information you enter for that purpose. Information will not be passed to other departments (unless clearly explained) or shared with any other external party.
3. We may use information for statistical analysis but in such a way that your identity will not be involved
You will not receive unsolicited paper or electronic mail from us as a result of visiting this site, signing up for an account, or filling in an online form, unless we explicitly ask for and get your permission to contact you. In certain circumstances it may be necessary for us to follow up your request for services or a purchase. Emails will be securely sent from Middlesbrough Council servers to the email address that you specify.
