Prevent eLearning

Want to learn more about Prevent? Want to understand the vulnerabilities of those at risk and know what to do to help safeguard them from that risk?

The Home Office have produced an eLearning package open to all to help people understand the risks of radicalisation and the vulnerabilities of those at risk. The aim of this is to ensure people know how to support and safeguard them from those whom wish to exploit them into terrorism or supporting terrorism.

You can access the awareness course and learn about the vulnerabilities by completing the Prevent duty training: Awareness course online.

Following this you may wish to complete the Prevent referrals course. This course is also for anyone who may need to make a Prevent referral and those who might spot a concern and share it with their DSL or an equivalent so that they can make a referral to the police.

You can access the referrals course by completing the Prevent duty training: Referrals course online.

If you have concerns and believe a young person or vulnerable adult is at risk of radicalisation, please contact Middlesbrough Council's safeguarding team (Middlesbrough Multi-Agency Children's Hub) on 01642 726004, or contact Cleveland Police on 101.
