Good Neighbour Awards

Do you have a brilliant neighbour who regularly helps out and makes a difference in your community? If so, we'd love to hear from you!

Good neighbours can be found in every part of the town. They make a huge contribution to the lives of many people in Middlesbrough, often without even thinking about the positive impact it has. They can be involved in a range of things, including organising lunches, walking dogs, helping elderly neighbours, cooking meals, shopping for others, and more.

The Good Neighbour Awards highlight the fantastic contributions made by residents of all ages who improve the lives of others and go the extra mile. Whether they've provided care and support for others, are always on hand when needed, or just been a friendly face around your neighbourhood, we'd like to hear about them.

Nominate someone

Every month we'll be celebrating two Middlesbrough residents for being good neighbours - all you need to do is tell us who deserves that award! We're looking for anyone who's made a difference to their community, it doesn't matter whether that's something big or something small. The only rule is that they have to live in Middlesbrough. If you're not sure, you can double check your local council area online.

Please check the guidance before you make a nomination.

You must have permission from the person you're nominating before you make the nomination. If they're under 18, you'll need their parent or guardian's permission.

If you have any questions which aren't answered in the guidance, you can email your questions to communityawards@middlesbrough.gov.uk.
