Middlesbrough's Central Library is a unique, historic venue in the heart of the town centre. It's a convenient and comfortable location for meetings, lectures, and groups looking for a prestigious meeting space.

The Yorkshire Room, located on the first floor, is available to hire. It's perfect for smaller events, and can hold up to 30 people theatre-style or 15 people around the table.

Facilities include complimentary Wi-Fi, access to a 'SmartScreen', and flip charts if needed. The room can be hired on a regular or ad-hoc basis. We can provide tea, coffee, and light refreshments on request.

Charges for hiring the Yorkshire Room during library opening hours are:

• per hour - £15
• half day - £40
• full day - £70

Opening times

Monday to Friday: 9:30am to 12pm, then 1pm to 5pm

Saturday: 9:30am to 12pm

Sunday: closed
