The Hub Line

The Hub Line is a free phone service which lets residents phone government departments and support services directly. All the phone numbers have been pre-programmed into the telephone handsets so it's easy to use.

It's free, and you do not need an appointment to use the phone.

To access the service, lift the handset and press 11 followed by:

01 - DWP / Jobcentre Plus (new claims)
02 - DWP / Jobcentre Plus (existing claims)
03 - Jobcentre Plus (for questions about an existing appointment)
04 - Child Benefit helpline
05 - Tax Credits helpline
06 - Council Tax and Housing Benefit (Middlesbrough Council)
07 - Carer's Allowance Unit
08 - Personal Independence Payment (new claims)
09 - Personal Independence Payment (existing claims)
10 - Welfare Rights Service (Middlesbrough Council)
11 - Universal Credit (DWP)
12 - Homeless Team
13 - Disability Living Allowance (DLA)
14 - benefit fraud helpline
15 - Middlesbrough Citizens Advice
16 - Middlesbrough Foodbank

The service does not allow phone calls to any numbers which are not already programmed into the handsets.

Most community hubs close for lunch, so the phone will not be available during this time.
