Kids' Home Zone

Every parent wants their child to be safe, but there are lots of potential risks in the home to think about, and accidents can happen easily and when we least expect them. Everyday household objects can be a risk to a child. Minor alterations as part of Kids' Home Zone can reduce this risk and give you peace of mind.

Every year in England, accidents at home among under-5s result in around:

  • 450,000 visits to A&E
  • 40,000 emergency hospital admissions

The most serious preventable accidents which happen to under-5s fall into five main categories:

  • threats to breathing
  • falls
  • poisoning
  • burns and scalds
  • drowning

Working with our colleagues in Children's Services, we can provide and install home safety equipment to help protect you and your family from preventable accidents.
