Middlesbrough Council is proud to have joined the World Health Organisation's Global Network for Age-friendly Cities and Communities. We're working in partnership with key organisations to create an age-friendly town where older people can live healthy and active lives. You can find out more about age-friendly communities on the Centre for Ageing Better website.
Age-friendly Middlesbrough is led by Public Health South Tees, in partnership with older people and local charity organisations. You can email agefriendly@middlesbrough.gov.uk for more information.
How to get involved
Being an age-friendly community is not just about achieving a standard once. It's an ongoing effort, making changes however and whenever we can, to meet the diverse needs of older people. Everyone can help us to make Middlesbrough more age-friendly. Find out here how you can help.
